Ju Ran is a Ph.D. student in the School of Creative Media at City University of Hong Kong. Meanwhile, she is a designer and lecturer in Luxun Academy of Fine Arts. Responsible for teaching design courses. She worked as team tutor and led students to finish the design works more than 60 topics. Also, she learned Chinese ink painting since childhood. In early 2019, she started to learn landscape painting of Song and Yuan Dynasty. In 2010 she received the master’s degree in Visual Communication Design from the University of The Arts Berlin, Germany. In 2007, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from the China Academy of Art, China.
Through the creation of works, exhibition, teaching, team projects, lectures and other ways to study design and popularize the design knowledge and ideas. Ju Ran realizes that the emergence of AR technology has led to the change of the way of design communication and made the visual presentation no longer static. In this sense she believes, there is a necessity to blend AR technology in the design field. AR technology can help visual communication design pursue more uniqueness possibilities. It has been extended to many fields of visual communication design, such as book design, poster design, packaging design, public visual orientation design, UI design. And she focuses on the visual experience of AR technology.
